Ciao! That’s Italian for hello (and goodbye). Antonio’s is an Italian restaurant but has a Japanese chef. Interesting! The restaurant has a world map, too! See if you can find Italy when you go. It is very Italian with the red and white table cloths and, well, basically all the décor. The restaurant has an open kitchen, too. The waitresses are very nice. They are open, at 5pm-9pm, daily, for dinner. You can also get take out, too; just call 875-8800.

There is no kids menu but they do either make smaller porzioni (portions), or you can split the entrée for $2.00 more. The prices range from $4.95 to $33.95. After you get settled they bring out the homemade (with a secret recipe) bread. You can also pour olive oil on your bread or plate (that’s what I do). The food is made from scratch.

For an appetizer my dad and I had the caprese salad, which consists of sliced mozzarella cheese and sliced tomatoes. You can add fresh pepper. I had the shrimp scampi, my favorite dish. There are 8 pieces of shrimp mixed with diced tomatoes and capers. For the pasta, there are 3 kinds: penne, spaghetti, and fettuccine, I had penne. My dad had the seafood scampi. That consists of not only shrimp but clams, mussels, calamari, and scallops. It’s all cooked in a garlic white wine lemon butter sauce, served with your choice of pasta.
