Halloween Movie Night at Kamali’i Elementary School

Free movie night hosted by the Kamali’i Elementary School PTA! Wear a costume for a costume parade, plus free trick or treating. Food will be available for a minimal fee. Bring your own beach chair and something warm for after the sun goes down.

Waldorf School Night of Delights

Wear a friendly costume that is not scary, no masks, please! Bring a flashlight to light your way. Children will receive bags to collect their treats and enjoy free popcorn and juice. Keiki Halloween Festival at Imua Discovery Garden

4 PM – 8 PM 

Ghastly ghouls, pretty princesses, and all other costumed keiki are invited to the second annual Keiki Halloween Festival. Young children and their families will be trick-or-treated to an evening of live music, special guests, & activities, and cauldrons full of goodies from Imua’s favorite non-profit partners. Entertainment and activities will include live children’s music with Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band, a play area featuring Ben’s Big Blue Building Blocks, a chance for our keiki car enthusiasts to check out Maui’s Classic Cruisers, and even an opportunity to visit with miniature horses! Don’t forget to stick around to participate in the evening’s Keiki Costume Contest. Food for purchase will be available.

Ha’iku Elementary School PTA Trunk or Treat

5 PM – 7 PM

Trunk or Treat is back this year! Cars outfitted with Halloween décor will pass out candy to guests, so be sure to wear your best Halloween costumes.

Seabury Hall Trunk or Treat

4 PM – 6 PM

Seabury Hall will host a Trunk or Treat event on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at its campus in Makawao.  This family-friendly drug and alcohol-free event is designed for and open to keiki ages Pre-K through 4th grade and will provide an opportunity for a safe trick-or-treat experience. Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to come in costume with a trick-or-treat bag and must be accompanied by their parents or guardians for the entire event. 

Interested families can register online at: Registration for the event is required and will be on a first come first serve basis. 

On the day of the event, guests should enter the school via Olinda Road and may park in the upper parking lot. There will be a registration table at the front circle. Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled trunk or treat slot. Trunk or treaters will parade through campus down to Cooper House for the event and exit through the Middle School hall and stairway.

Kula Country Farms Pumpkin Patch

The Kula Country Farms Pumpkin Patch is a fall family tradition not to be missed. Pack up the kids and head up to the farm and stroll through the colorful garden, and pose at the many photo opportunities throughout the property while taking in the breathtaking views. Choose from a variety of pumpkins and gourds of all sizes and shop for seasonal goodies and island-grown produce at the store. Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa Haunted House

The doors to the forbidden underground basement of the hotel will be unlocked and opened for the brave who dare to enter. Thrills and chills lurk around every corner with things that go bump in the night. Come dressed in your Halloween costumes and enjoy this night of fun and fright.

West Maui Monster Maze

Lahaina‘s Monster Maze is back, but this time it’s a walk-through! A bump in the night and a howl to the moon gets everyone into a spooky mood! Families are encouraged to experience the haunted maze at the Wharf Cinema Center on Front Street, Suite 166 in Lahaina Town. From Wicked Witches of the West Side to Monsters of the Salty Seas, Spiders & Dragons and of course some Dancing Zombies!

Hui Heleuī – A Nightmare on Mahalani Street

Hui No Ke Ola Pono is having a Halloween-themed event on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 from 4 pm-8 pm at the J. Walter Cameron Center! Dress up & bring your entire ‘ohana for a spooktacular night of fun! In addition, we’ll be having a GIVE KIDS A SMILE event where keiki is able to receive free dental treatment. If your keiki participated in our art contest (see previous post), it’ll be showcased at this event. Please note due to limited parking, we’ll be having event attendees park at Maui Lani Shopping Center and being transported to the event by MEO transportation. The County of Maui will again host a scary but fun Halloween Drive-Thru Adventure from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Keopuolani Regional Park. Event highlights include Maui Classic Cruisers’ vintage car showcase, LahainaTown Action Committee’s popular Mystery Maze, and a Pumpkin Patch. Generous treat stations will be staffed by volunteers from the County of Maui and community partners.  A Keiki Buckle-up Area will be available for families with babies and young children so youngsters can get safely get back into their car seats and boosters before exiting onto Kanaloa Avenue.

43rd Annual Halloween Keiki Parade on Front Street


LahainaTown Action Committee and the Rotary Clubs of Lahaina are excited to announce the return of the 43rd Annual Halloween Keiki Parade on Front Street. “This year’s event will be modified with safety and limited resources top of mind,” he says, and will include only the traditional parade. Keiki are invited to don their best costume, walk down Front Street and have the chance to walk across stage and get their bag of goodies. “We’ll have the traditional kick-off by Parade Marshall Mayor Victorino, who will lead the Lahainaluna Marching Band and Maui Shriners Clubs along beautiful Front Street,” says Joseph Pluta, the parade’s master of ceremonies for over 43 years. A friendly reminder that this is a pedestrian parade only, so please no vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, golf carts, etc. Front Street will reopen immediately following the parade.

The Halloween Hunt at Maui Paintball

OCTOBER 21, 22, 28, 29, 2022

This Halloween 2022, arm yourself with our new Military Grade laser tag equipment and traverse the field on foot following our red-illuminated half-mile walkway as you navigate burning cars, pits of prisoners, and our haunted forest. Keep the hoards of zombies, clowns, and ghouls away as you alone or your group of up to 12 people fight for your life to make it through alive. This is a more involved journey than riding our truck so no children under 8 years of age please and remember to wear close-toed shoes as it will ensure you don’t get injured. Starting from 6:10 pm, reservations are every 10 minutes, last reservation is at 9:10 pm. For all days, up to 12 armed guests, no limit on unarmed companions.

Halloween Ninja Night with Maui Tumblers

5:30 PM – 8 PM

Ninja Night is coming up where we get to dress up as anything and anybody we want, show off our superpowers, and let our imagination run free. Kick off the night with a Halloween costume parade before the Ninja fun. Your child is welcome to come in costume and stay in costume as long as it does not hinder his/her ninja moves. If the costume is elaborate (hard to get on/off, hot, long trains/capes, masks, etc), please bring a change of clothes so they are more comfortable running the obstacle courses. Halloween at Home Spooktacular

6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

A fun way to get in the Halloween spirit — right from home! When you sign up, you’ll receive a link to watch the film. After registering, you’ll also receive a bingo card with scenes from the movie. Play along with your kids while you watch! The first three families to email their completed bingo cards to HCAN will win special prizes. Sign up for the costume contest. There are two categories: Outstanding Keiki Costume and Outstanding ʻOhana Costume. The winner of each category, along with one randomly chosen raffle winner, will win a gift package sponsored by Goodwill Hawaii. Families can enter with photos taken between October 16-22.

Virtual Pet Costume Contest at Kihei Kalama Village

ENTRY DATES: OCTOBER 10  – 31, 2022

Whether your fur baby is a cat, dog, or lizard (scale baby?), we want to see a photo of it! Share your pet’s outfit this year in a friendly contest for everyone to enjoy!

Use the hashtag #KKVhalloween2021 with your costume submission on social media for a chance to win $50 in KKV Gift Cards. You can use the $50 at any participating store or restaurant within Kihei Kalama Village. The contest will run between October 10th – 31st and winners will bechosen shortly afterwards. Make sure your social media account privacy is set to public in order to enter. Users who have their profiles set to private can send their post via private or direct message. Hui No’eau Family Thursday: Halloween!

“Family Thursday” workshops are designed for a child and an adult parent or guardian to create artwork together! In this Halloween-themed Family Thursday, participants will be creating spooky monster masks to add some fun and creativity to their trick-or-treating adventures. Participants will also be creating Halloween sun-catchers to help catch all the magic and hocus-pocus, boooo!

Spooktacular Family Fun

Head to Lahaina Cannery for an evening of frightful events! Beginning the night with a spooktacular Magic Show with Brent’s Bag-O-Trick’s as he strolls through the Cannery. Followed by their annual Costume Contest for keiki ages 0-10 and your ‘ohana with a Grand Prize of Two Round-Trip Tickets to your choice of any Alaska Airlines destination in the US. Families may also enjoy complimentary balloon twisting and Halloween crafts as well as trick-or-treating through Lahaina Cannery. Lookout for the evil Cruella De Vil and take photos! All events will take place near the stage. Treat yourselves to some ghoulish treats for purchase by Lechita De Coco’s spooky locally made popsicles as well as wicked good candy apples from Dipped by Bri.

Maui Mall Village’s annual Halloween Skele-bration is back featuring a keiki & ‘ohana costume contest and trick-or-treating for children of all ages.
