4th Annual ‘Ohana Fest “Journey to Make Pono”

Hosted by Hoʻoikaika Partnership in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Designed for families eligible for services offered by partner agencies, this free event promises a day of fun activities, valuable community resources, music, and giveaways. This year’s theme, “A Journey to Make Pono,” centers around the children’s storybook “Kalo Boy’s Adventure to Make Pono: He Huakaʻi ʻOhana,” emphasizing the importance of working together to overcome challenges and heal. Highlights include:
• Native Hawaiian cultural activities, games, book giveaways, and raffle prizes
• Information booths featuring 25 local agencies.
• Entertainment provided by Sweet & Salty, the Baldwin High School Drumline, Uncle Wayne, and Halau Hula Keola-Ali’i O Kekai.
• Mayor Bissen will lead a proclamation ceremony for Child Abuse Prevention Month at 10:30 am, organized by Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui.
