Mom Can Pamper Herself at Home

Just like other parts of our body, our skin needs attention for it to be healthy. Facial masks help to remove residual make up, dirt and air pollutants which reside in the pores and also tightens skin, removing small blemishes and wrinkles. Facial masks are recommended at least 3 times a month or once a week. Any more than that can take essential oils out of your skin.

Before applying a mask clean your face with mild soap and warm water, apply a protective cream to sensitive areas around the mouth and eyes. Apply a mask with a flat wide brush and don’t leave a mask on too long – usually 20 minutes. After gently washing with warm water and pat drying, use facial cream.

Dry skin needs to be hydrated and moisturized. Egg yolks and honey are great moisturizers that will bring nourishment to the skin.

Kiwi Mask

1. 1 Tbs. Kiwi Juice

2. 1 Tbs. Olive oil

3. 1 egg yolk

Kiwi juice helps to stimulate blood circulation and the egg yolk will hydrate. Just mix the ingredients and leave on for 20 – 30 minutes.

Avocado and Honey Mask

1. 1/2 Avocado

2. 1/4 cup Honey

Mash Avocado in a bowl and add honey. Leave on the face for 15 minutes. Avocados are filled with monounsaturated or “healthy fat” and honey is an anti-irritant as well as rich in antioxidants. Honey helps with skin tone and elasticity.
