More Movement Smarter Kids-

Physical activity makes us feel good. We all know that. Do our children get enough of it to have academic success?

Research in Illinois of 259 3rd and 5th graders found that those with more fit bodies scored better on standardized math and reading tests.

Other studies in Canada and France have showed an increases in academic scores when physical activity was also increased. Many of these studies required students to participate in 5 to 8 hours of vigorous activity per week. One Canadian study saw academic scores increase when a whopping third of the school day was devoted to physical activity.
