Help MAPA bring together 40+ teens from diverse backgrounds this summer for an amazing 6-week Teen Musical Theatre Camp culminating in a production of the musical Fame. In order to make the camp super affordable for the teens and their families, MAPA has committed to raising $24,000 to provide every teen with a scholarship of $600 (families will pay only $275).
Several donors at the Hawaii Community Foundation are taking the lead by contributing $10,000. Vanity’s guests are being invited to change the lives of 40 kids by helping raise the remaining $14,000:
$600 for 1 teen for 6 weeks
$300 for 1 teen for 3 weeks
$100 for 1 teen for 1 week
Last summer’s program was a transformative experience for the teen participants. One student shared the following: “Last night when Aslan sang ‘To Make the World Right Again,’ that’s when it hit me. That’s what I want to do. Make the world right. It’s a big goal but I know we can all do it. I’m so lucky to be able to do theater…Thank you all for making this a summer I will never forget.”
