Mālama Wao Akua 2011

Get inspired by Maui’s native flora and fauna and start creating! This November is East Maui Watershed Partnership’s annual Juried Art Exhibition, Mālama Wao Akua, held at Viewpoints Gallery in Makawao. We need your help in creating art showcasing Maui’s native species for this show. All ages from amateur to professional are welcome to enter. This event is to help raise awareness about Maui’s Watersheds and the Native Species that are found within them. Some proceeds go to help the East Maui Watershed Partnership. Subject matter has to be Native (arrived to the island on its own) to Maui Nui. Contest rules can be found at our website www.eastmauiwatershed.org, along with entry forms and ideas to get inspired. Art will be received at Viewpoints Gallery Mon. Nov. 7th from 5-8pm and Tues. Nov. 8th from 9am-1pm. Show opening on Nov. 12th. Make art and learn about Maui’s unique island species!
