The Maui Academy of Performing Arts will present “Tales from Here and
There,” a Puppet Operetta, at Makawao Public Library on Thursday, November
10 at 10 a.m. The free program will be conducted in the Children’s Section.
“Tales from Here and There,” written by Derek Nakagawa with music by Patrick
Brown, features folktales from around the world: “The Ant and the
Grasshopper,” “Urashima Taro,” and “Maui and the Sun.”
The Maui Friends of the Library is sponsoring this 45-minute performance
which is suitable for ages 3 and older. All children must be accompanied by
a parent or caregiver.
Contact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or
other special accommodation is needed.
