Learn about Hawaii’s beloved green sea turtles in an up close and personal setting. This interactive presentation is hosted by Maui Ocean Center’s curatorial team at Hammerhead Harbor. Guests will learn about the biology, behavior and diet of green sea turtles from the team that cares for the animals on a daily basis.

We are very excited to be bringing stage and TV actress and vocalist Capathia Jenkins to the Castle Theater to help us ring in the season! Jenkins, who has performed with major orchestras all over the world, will be coming to Maui between performances with the Vancouver Symphony and Seattle Symphony.  The 50 person orchestra will perform classic Holiday music and eclectic arrangements of Mannheim Steamroller and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Run and Walk for the Whales

The race includes a 2.5 mile walk, 5K run, 10K run and half marathon run. It’s a fundraiser to support humpback whale research in Hawaii and other parts of the Pacific, marine education programs for local schoolchildren, as well as conservation programs.

Ocean Camp on race day for children ages 4 to 12. The program takes place from 6 am to 10 am at Pacific Whale Foundation’s Discovery Center in Ma’alaea.
