Summer can get packed with a lot of fun things to do, but nothing beats a lazy summer day. Here are 10 ways to make the most of a lazy summer day.
- Have a picnic under a tree. Bring food, drinks, a blanket and book to read aloud.
- Go to the beach all day long. Pack lots of sunscreen and snacks.
- Go for a bike ride.
- Make tents out of sheets, either indoors or out.
- Get crafty with things you can find around the house.
- Make homemade lemonade and then let the kids sell it at a lemonade stand.
- Splash around outside using the hose. Even better, grab some water balloons and let the kids have at it.
- Let the kids “paint” your fence using only water and paintbrushes. When the water dries and disappears, they can start all over again.
- Read, read, read. Head to the library and let the kids all choose their books. Then do a read-a-thon at home.
- Invite friends over. Have a play date with other parents and kids. The kids will entertain each other while the moms and dads can catch up.
