Love podcasts? Your kids can too, with the Kids Listen app that offers great teachable content. Your kids can pop on their headphones and listen to interviews with cool people, learn about science, listen to stories and books. Most importantly, the podcasts are kid appropriate.
Turn your phone into a science experiment with the Lab4U app. This app lets you and your child do experiments using your phone to collect data – it uses the sensors in your phone, like your camera and speakers to measure data and run step-by-step experiments. Best of all, they can be done without WiFi!
Help your keiki learn a new language with the DuoLingo app. They can choose from a ton of foreign languages, including Spanish, French, German and others that are a bit more off the beaten path. They’ll learn the language/words in fun ways, and earn badges along the way. Do this with your kids and see what words you pick up too! Soon, the whole family can be using another language to communicate!
Remember, it’s best to limit screen time with your kids. Less is more, even for educational apps. It also helps to sit with your child and do some of the fun app work with them. Make it a bonding time too!
