Head Start is a federal program that provides Early Childhood development services to families that meet the federal poverty guidelines and selection criteria. We will begin our studies by learning to provide for our primary physical needs utilizing only natures bounty: Warmth, clean water, safety, health, and food. As the weeks progress and our skills improve, we will evolve our studies into more spiritual & psychological needs: Our connection to the planet and heavens, our connection to each other and community, and our connection to this profound matrix of life. 
Topics we will cover are: Shelter building, fire starting, navigating by the sun and stars, wild edibles, herbal first aid, bird language, wild life tracking, rope making & Nature connection.
Earth Medicine Institute is fortunate to have world-class instructors for this certification including tracker and nature skills teacher Alan Brisley, renowned wild foods expert Sunny Savage, astronomer and scientist Harriet Witt, and Hawaiian plant specialist David Bruce Leonard.
