smart-kidProblems are known to have answers and if we look at all the elements, grading them for pros and cons, we assume we’ll come to a logical and analytical solution. So goes the thought of the left brain. The right brain takes a different approach. It looks at the whole picture without separating out the individual parts and pops out the answer. Observations which have been forgotten but are still in the subconscious, details that you didn’t acknowledge at the time but your senses recorded, turn a right brain decision into a “gut feeling” or “intuition”.

Bring your right brain to power by clearing your mind.

1. Write your name with your left hand forward, backward and upside down.

2. Do something artistic like drawing, painting, singing or playing music.

3. Read a little bit of a lot of different things like a few pages of a thriller, the National Geographic, then poetry, and finally a text book.

4. Take a bath or hot shower.

5. Go for a jog.

You can do it all, one after the other, and see what kind of answer “pops” into your head.
