FREE SCREENING OF FILM “OLA – HEALTH IS EVERYTHING” AT MAUI MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER

Maui residents and visitors are invited to a special screening of film “Ola – Health is Everything,” as part of their weeklong celebration of Hospital Week at Maui Memorial Medical Center this Wednesday at 6 p.m.  Public is also encouraged to arrive early (5 – 6 p.m.) to enjoy free healthy dishes prepared “farm-to-table” with locally grown produce, by the Maui Memorial Medical Center dietary team.ola

“Ola” is an eye-opening feature length documentary that explores factors that affect health other than genetic predisposition and individual behavior. It highlights the power of communities to heal, how society must re-examine what it means to be healthy, and showcases individuals who bring hope to communities across Hawaiʻi. It is directed by award-winning Matthew Nagato and premiered at the Hawaiʻi International Film Festival in April 2013.
