Join the Maui Ocean Center for a cozy meet and greet with the authors of the acclaimed book, “The Book of Honu” on Thursday, August 18 at 2:30pm. Peter Bennett and his wife and Ursula Keuper-Bennett will join Maui Ocean Center’s Curatorial Team at 2:00pm* for Turtle-rrific Thursday at the Turtle Lagoon where guests can learn about turtle behavior, biology, and more. Following Turtle-rrific Thursday, the Bennett’s will be in the Maui Ocean Treasures gift shop until 4:30pm to sign copies of their book. You may purchase this book in the Maui Ocean Treasures gift shop and receive an additional 10% off the cover price when purchasing during the author meet and greet.
About the Authors
Since 1988 Peter Bennett and Ursula Keuper-Bennett have journeyed every summer from their home in Ontario to west Maui to dive with and learn from honu. They pioneered the use of underwater photography and videotaping in the study of honu and in 1995 developed Turtle Trax, the first web site devoted to sea turtles.
