Live theatre is blossoming this summer at Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA). With two blockbuster musical productions, there’s something for everyone all summer long!
In July, MAPA students will present the musical Oliver! Appropriate for all ages, Oliver! is based on Charles Dickens’ classic tale and includes some of musical theatre’s most famous songs such as “Food Glorious Food” and “Consider Yourself,” The show runs six performances July 17-26.
In August, MAPA LIVE brings the Andrew Lloyd Webber rock musical Evita to the MACC’s Castle Theater for six performances only August 21-30. With its spectacular choreography and unforgettable score, including the iconic “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” Evita shares the passionate story of Eva Peron, Argentina’s most beloved First Lady. Featuring a large cast of adult and children performers, Evita promises to capture the hearts of Maui audiences of all ages.
