Kihei Public Library will offer a free screening of “How to Train Your Dragon,” the DreamWorks’ animated feature, at “Family Movie Night” on August 14 at 6 p.m. in the Youth Area.

Based on the book by Cressida Cowell and set in a mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, this action comedy features the voices of Gerard Butler, America Ferrara, and Jonah Hill.  “How to Train Your Dragon” (Rated PG) is the story of Hiccup, a Viking teen who is not your typical heroic dragon slayer.  Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when a dragon challenges him and fellow Vikings to view the world from an entirely different perspective.

The Hawaii State Public Library System is sponsoring this “Family Movie Night” event.  Free popcorn will be provided by the Kay A. Allen Memorial Fund.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.  Contact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

Kihei Public Library is located at 35 Waimahaihai Street.  For more information, please call the Library at 875-6833.
