They offer popular keiki craft classes, which are held every spring, summer and fall breaks. This fall they will be held at Ben Franklin Crafts from October 5 through 9. Keiki have the option of taking each class separately, or attend all five classes. Stay tuned for more information.
One way your keiki can learn about STEAM is through Hardware Science! It’s a cool way for kids to conduct science experiments using materials that can be found at their local hardware store or even around the house. Visit hardwarescience.com for more information.
For art, HouseMart sponsors a wide range of community events and projects, most recently Maui Matsuri’s Manga Art and Traditional Art contests. They carry supplies for school projects, whether it’s a science or art project, or presentation. Their Ben Franklin Crafts and Ace Hardware stores are great resources for ideas and supplies for do-it-yourself home and crafts projects, many of which families can do together, such as gardening, building, baking, painting and more! A plethora of project sheets, blogs and videos can be found on their website.
Visit their HouseMart stores at these Maui locations: Ben Franklin Crafts at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center and Ace Hardware in Kihei, Lahaina and Pukalani.
