The Lahaina President’s Day Weekend Whale Event
Up close and personal- all things whales! Come learn about whales from top international scientists, photographers and conservationists. Whale Tales is a four-day educational event, full of presentations, receptions and opportunities to network with world-renowned personalities in whale research. Whale Tales is hosted annually by Whale Trust Maui, a non-profit dedicated to whale research and education. Funds raised support the research efforts of Whale Trust Maui, Center for Whale Studies and Hawaii Whale Research Foundation.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day and the Opening Night of Whale Tales on Friday, February 14. Join us for the Opening Reception at Sugar Cane Maui Restaurant ($20) and then “Whales in Love,” a free presentation under the stars at nightfall during Lahaina’s Second Friday party. Free admission to presentations on Saturday and Sunday, February 15 and 16, at The Maui Theatre ($20 suggested donation gratefully accepted). Whale watches throughout the weekend and all day Monday February 17, starting at $45.
