A free presentation called “Spying on Spinners: What We Can Learn from Listening” will take a look at research conducted in the Maui Nui region (Maui, Moloka‘i, Lāna‘i and the ‘Au‘au Channel) that listened to spinner dolphins to learn more about their behaviors. The presentation is part of Maui Nui Marine Resource Council’s monthly Know Your Ocean Speaker Series.

Although the 2021 Walk to End Alzheimer’s is now happening virtually as participants are walking in their own neighborhoods, everyone can still rally together to fight Alzheimer’s. On Walk day, watch the prerecorded Opening and Promise Garden Ceremony via the app or your local event webpage. Visit the augmented reality Promise Garden in the mobile app, select a flower plant it among others, and review the route map to track your at-home Walk. Then, start walking! Be sure to wear purple and post photos to social media using #Walk2EndAlz and #ShowYourPurple.
