If you haven’t stopped by this exhibit at the Hui No’Eau, time is running out. Maui artists are challenged to explore the watersheds and use their creative talents to raise awareness about the importance of protecting native species. The exhibit cultivates respect for the natural world around us and is inspiring for all ages.
Visit with Hawaii Animal Rescue Foundation Weekly Dog Adoptions
Any time we hit the Maui Mall on the weekend, we’re bound to hear from our kids, “Are the dogs here?” It’s great to see that dog adoptions are back! Every Saturday from 10 am-4 pm at the Maui Mall in Kahului. Meet dogs and puppies of all ages, sizes, and breeds waiting for their forever home. Information on adoptions can be found atharfcenter.org

Grab & Go Ocean Learning Kits in Lahaina
FREE Grab & Go Ocean Learning kits are available at the Lahaina Public Library while supplies last! The kits are FREE and meant to encourage learning at home. The topic: Mālama o ke Kai (Take Care of the Ocean) contains workbooks, brochures, stickers, and more. Topics include: kilo (traditional Hawaiian observation systems); pono (sustainable) fishing practices; taking care of limu (seaweed); understanding and behaving properly in the presence of honu (green sea turtles) and honu ʻea (hawksbill turtle).
The kits are being given out during the start of the Hawaiʻi Department of Education’s fall break for public schools. This a collaboration between the state Division of Aquatic Resources, Hawaii State Public Library System, National Marine Fisheries Service and the sanctuary.
