Go to The Importance of Being Earnest

Tonight is the opening night of Maui Onstage’s The Importance of Being Earnest with a pre-show fundraising party. Enjoy festive drinks and appetizers before the show and find out about the upcoming 2022-2023 Season before everyone else! Show-only tickets are also available.

Oscar Wilde’s most popular play has entertained theater-goers for over a century.  Everyone is in love with Ernest, the irresistible bad boy of Victorian London’s high society.  Trouble is, Ernest doesn’t exist.  Meanwhile, two pairs of young lovers attempt to untangle their self-created web of lies and win the approval of supercilious Lady Bracknell. Earnest is an entertaining “trivial comedy for serious people ” with sparkling wordplay and hilariously unlikely situations.
