Turn Trash into Fashion
Mālama Maui Nui is excited to announce that submissions are now being accepted for The Art of Trash Exhibition and Trashion Show slated to open in April 2023. If you haven’t already done so, start creating now! Submissions close February 1, 2023.
The Art of Trash Exhibition and Trashion Show are annual, juried events that inspire community members to reimagine our resources, such as previously used materials, as elements for creative inspiration. All pieces are original work made from recycled and/or reused material.

Exchange your goods for something new to you.
The first Ohana & Keiki Exchange of the year is on January 7, 2023, from 9-11am with donations accepted between 7-9:30am. Out with the old and in with the new? bring it in! Well, one bag per person, that is. Due to volunteer status, we do need to limit donations to not overwhelm our kindhearted folks and our bins. Have some extra time? Stay a spell and help us out! Feeling like you want to muscle up a bit? Come on down to set up or tear down! I promise, setting up and tearing down is a task that will get your steps in and muscles flexin’ and you don’t have to pay for a gym membership. Total win-win and it’s a resolution worth sticking around for.
