Wake Up for the Puppy Bowl

It’s the BIG GAME this weekend, one everyone has been waiting for all year: The Puppy Bowl! And for the first time, the Aloha State is being represented. On February 13, 2022, Maui Humane Society’s shelter-born pup, Hoku, will be Hawaii’s shining star and tackling the competition during Puppy Bowl XVIII on Animal Planet.
 
For those local on Maui, join a viewing party at Gilligans Bar & Grill to cheer Hoku on! Gilligans is open as of 8am on Feb 13, with the Puppy Bowl starting at 9am HST. Gilligans is PET FRIENDLY but dog must be good with other dogs and leashed. The more furry fans, the better!

Pick Strawberries

Kula Country Farms is opening the strawberry patch this Saturday, February 12th. Baskets are provided and strawberries sold at $5/lb. Bring a blanket to for a picnic on the grounds, and take in the upcountry air and views. The farm store has produce, local gifts, Maui made food products and more. Grab a bundle of protea or succulent plant to take home. Strawberry U-Pick will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays through end of June.

Shop Morning Makeke at Queen Ka’ahumanu Center

We’ve visited Morning Makeke in Wailuku and delighted in their mix of local merch, artwork, plants, and Maui made foods and crafts. Now this artisan market will be at Queen Ka’ahuamanu Center on February 12, 2022 – 10am-4pm. It’s a Valentine’s Day themed Morning Makeke and no doubt there will be something to fall in love with while you look!
