Some of you have already registered for the parenting class this Friday evening 6-8pm. Whether you have registered yet or not, everyone is welcome to come along, and to bring girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives, mothers….anyone who wants to grow as a parent. It is applicable for parents of children of all ages.
It will be a wonderful evening. You will work on how to connect with your children and how to help them when they are distressed or acting out challenging behaviors. You will also look at how to work with the strong feelings that come up for you as a parent, and how to channel this in helpful ways. All are invited to do a short meditation and look at long-term parenting goals.
Location: Bahai Center in Makawao, 3574 Kekahi Place, Makawao HI 96768. From the center of Makawao town, at the junction of Baldwin Ave and Makawao Ave, go downhill on Baldwin. Take the second left on Ukiu St (along the side of Makawao Elementary) and then take the first left onto Kekahi. The Bahai Center will be on your right. There is good parking.
Class starts at 6pm. Doors open at 5.30pm, so feel free to arrive early. The cost is $20 per person, cash or check.
If you have a small baby, please feel free to bring them along. There will not be child care, so it is best to leave toddlers and bigger kids at home.
