The Maui Humane Society and Sugar Beach Events present an inspirational night at the movies to benefit the Maui Humane Society. The family-friendly event will feature two films.
The Champions is an inspirational story about the Vicktory pit bulls and those who risked it all to save them. It is a story of second chances, redemption and hope. This uplifting documentary takes us on a journey, and it is about much more than just dogs — it is about prejudice, being misunderstood, the power of resilience, and the significance of the relationship that humans have with animals.
Also showing will be For The Love of Dogs, an inspiring, heart-warming story told through the eyes of a child on the autism spectrum whose passion for dogs has opened up his communication, allowing him to connect with the world around him.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 4 at Sugar Beach Events in Kihei. The films will be shown under the stars, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Please note that this is a family-friendly event; however, we ask that children attending be over the age of 10 years old.
