Queen Ka’ahumanu Center announces Blue Zones Fridays commencing September 8, 2017 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, and every 2nd Friday of the month thereafter.
Blue Zones Project is a community-wide well-being improvement initiative to help make healthy choices easier in Hawai’i. Blue Zones Fridays is Queen Ka’ahumanu Center’s commitment to community health. The program will include healthy island-style cooking and gardening demonstrations by Maui’s own celebrities. Blue Zones Project will be also be on site to share how individuals, schools, restaurants, stores, and other organizations can get involved, including the walking moai (an informal walking group).

Queen Ka’ahumanu Center announces Kū Mai Ka Hula – Hana Hou performance on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Queen Ka’ahumanu Center is a proud supporter of Maui’s legendary hula competition, Kū Mai Ka Hula. Invited Na Kuma Hula and their halau will perform as an encore to the 12th annual competition scheduled the day prior which features award-winning hālau competing in solo and group performances. This year’s invitees include hālau from Japan and the U.S. Mainland, as well as Maui, and Oahu.
