Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents   FREE Starry Night Cinema screening of Pixar’s animated award-winning film “UP”

photo_1

Saturday, July 20, 2013  at 7:30 pm

Bring the whole family over to the MACC for a fun night that will; make your spirits soar! On Saturday evening, July 20, Maui Arts & Cultural Center will present Disney/Pixar’s film “UP” on the giant screen in Yokouchi Pavilion.

“UP” is the heart-warming story of a life-long love, and familiar longings.  A grumpy widower has lost the love of his life, and faces the prospect of losing his house as well. But he and his wife had always dreamed of travel, so he comes UP with an amazing way of having it all: keeping his house and memories intact and going to far-away places. It’s quite an idea, and he has quite a lot of adventures. The story is sweet and funny, but what makes this film amazing are the characterizations and the animation   …  as might be expected from Pixar. It is a truly outstanding film.

This event is FREE!  So come one, come all!  Bring low-backed  beach chairs, blankets, or mats to relax on the A&B Amphitheater lawn… and enjoy the show! Gates open at 6 pm for pre-show festivities: fun art activities for the keiki, live music and contests.   Affordable preshow dinners, snacks and beverages will be available.

For more information, contact the MACC Box Office at 242-SHOW (7469) or go online to MauiArts.org.  Also connect with us on  Facebook.com/maui.arts    and Twitter.com/mauiartsculture
