Come to the south shore of Maui for Kihei’s 4th Friday Town Party for “Hau’oli Makahiki Hou-Happy New Year”, January 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Azeka Shopping Center Mauka, the “Heart and Soul” of Kihei. Come “Play in Kihei” and enjoy free entertainment, food booths and trucks, art, crafts, and plenty of great local shopping. Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii offers a weekly story time and craft hour for children ages 3-12 in the Hawaiians and the Sea exhibit. Join a Wet Naturalist at the Tide Pool and/or Discovery Pool for a hands-on presentation about Hawaii’s marine invertebrates! Engage with a marine naturalist presenting from within the exhibit to see, touch, and learn about sea stars, sea cucumbers, urchins and more spineless sea creatures.

Speak with an ocean expert at Maui Ocean Center’s Exploration Station! This winter season, the Exploration Station will feature Hawaii’s endemic marine life (animals found only in Hawaii) and the relationship between the Hawaiians and the sea. Complimentary with Aquarium admission.
