Baldwin Avenue is closed from the top of Makawao Avenue down to Brewer Street beginning at 5:15 PM. Guests joining our M3F block party can enjoy live entertainment, food trucks and booths, arts and crafts and plenty of great local shopping and restaurants. This is a rain or shine FREE community event.

Keiki Chinese Attire Contest Rules:

Contest open to keiki ages infant -12yrs old.  Contest limited to first 40 keiki to sign up on event day at the center stage. Registration on event day is 9am-10am or until 40 participants is reached. Contest begins at 10:30am. All participants will receive participation gift. Special awards for girls and boys 1st, 2nd, 3rd places. Creativity is encouraged. 

The Maui Chinese New Year Festival is proud to present three amazing performances by the Phoenix Dance Chamber from Honolulu Hawaii. Established in 1989, the Phoenix Dance Chamber is Hawaii’s top Chinese dance school to offer the finest in Chinese Classical dance, Han folk dance, ethnic minority dances, and Chinese contemporary/modern dance. Phoenix Dance Chamber’s mission is to create opportunities for all individuals and communities in the State of Hawaii to celebrate, share, and sustain the vitality of Chinese folk, ethnic minority and classical dance and arts for present and future generations including through dance instruction, performance, and cultural exchange.
