Da Kidney Da Kine Day

Join the National Kidney Foundation of Hawai’i for their 13th annual Da Kidney Da Kine Day. Free kidney screenings, body measurements, blood pressure readings, glucose analysis and more. Enjoy live entertainment, exhibits and wellness fair with special keiki activities.

The National Kidney Foundation of Hawai’i (NKFH) is hosting a FREE kidney health screening in April to anyone ages 18 and older who would like to get a snapshot of their current kidney health. Learn more about preventing kidney disease and get access to additional resources. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, a family history of kidney failure, or are over the age of 60, you are at risk and should have your kidneys checked. Kidney disease is life changing and often irreversible making it very important to detect a decrease in kidney function early. There will be many community organizations with information booths, keiki activities, & prize giveaways. Come and enjoy entertainment by Maui Waena Intermediate School band, Keoni from Hot Lava Dancefit, George Kahumoku, and Anthonly Pfluke!

A’ali’ikūhōnua Creative Arts Center. The theme this year is “Wayfinders.” This theme was chosen

because we are all navigating our way through our own lives, and we are all reading the messages in

the stars. This year, we have speakers presenting their interpretation of the stars, with topics ranging

from the Media’s impact on Youth to Oxybenzone and the health of our reefs.
