CROSS CURRENTS
A summer performing arts program for teens.
June 12-30
A new three-week program for young performing artists will be offered this summer by Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
Cross Currents is open to intermediate and high school students ages 12-18 who are interested in advancing their skills in the performing arts.
 
ABOUT CROSS CURRENTS:
The goal of the workshops is to cultivate new artists in the next generation, to bridge traditional and modern worlds. The classes will meet every day, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The first two weeks of sessions will cover topics in hula, mele, hana keaka, modern dance, American music, and spoken word.  The final week will include collaboration on a final project, rehearsal and performances.
 
REGISTRATION:
The program is limited to 30 students so enroll your teens now!  Registration is on a first come/first served basis and the deadline is May 1.
The program fee is $350.  *MACC members receive a discounted rate of $300.  The cost includes instruction and classroom supplies plus lunch and a snack each day.
