Many of the children Imua Family Services provide services for have critical health concerns. Oftentimes for families this can mean constant trips to Oahu for medical treatment and hospital visits, groceries and living expenses often take a back seat to the more urgent need which can mean life or death for a young child.

In a compassionate effort Hard Rock Cafe, Lahaina Maui is teaming up with Imua Family Services to provide some resources for urgent family needs for these families who need our support and are receiving our services.

Maui Teens Got Talent will provide teenagers with a voice a chance to showcase that voice on one of the most famous stages in the world; the Hard Rock Café stage! Come out to support Maui’s crooners and rockers as they take the stage in front of a panel of judges, audience members and diners will also be able to twitter their votes for favorite singers throughout the day. Maui Teens Got Talent a Imua Family Services event with Hard Rock Cafe will take place on Saturday, November 3 from 11AM to 3PM. Over 18 Maui teens are registered to compete.

Dean Wong Imua Family Services Executive Director enlisted Maui Vocal Coach Joy Fields to coordinate teen singing contestants. Teens from 13 to 19 years of age can choose from ballad to rock and roll to wow the judges and audience/diners. Wong wants to remind the teens, “Remember there are no losers, what we will have are teens who want to help our families who are in critical dire need with special needs children here, this is truly singing for a cause.” Having said that, one teen will be given an amazing opportunity by Maui’s Recording Studio owner Joel Katz, to create a mastered demo track!
