Always moving forward. Imua Family Services announces the opening of its newest early childhood program, Imua Preschool. The inception of Imua Preschool has been over three years in the making. The concept was to create a state of the art inclusion preschool that includes typically developing children in the same classroom as children with developmental concerns and special needs; this new paradigm is called “inclusion”. Inclusive programs celebrate children’s similarities as well as their different abilities and cultures. In inclusive classrooms, children with special needs take part in the general education curriculum so that all the students learn together. They are not put into separate classrooms, but rather the curriculum and the environment are adapted to meet all the children’s needs.
