Mandatory Learn To Swim Meeting for Parents on June 21
The county Department of Parks and Recreation is partnering with The Maui Swim Club to offer the club’s annual tuition-free Learn to Swim Program, taught by club coaches and experienced swim team members.
The free swim lessons from 6 – 6:30 p.m. June 25 to Aug. 31 are for participants 5 years old and older, with no age maximum. Space is limited to the first 100 applicants.
A mandatory parent meeting will be held for participants who are minors at 6 p.m. this Thursday, June 21, at Coach Spencer Shiraishi Memorial Pool in Kahului (next to Salvation Army). Rules for minor participation will be announced at the meeting; children must be 5 years or older by program start date.
