Fall Fun on Maui

Finding fall fun on Maui is not difficult. With the ideal weather conditions and warm water of the Pacific, you may enjoy the beach with your family year-round. But if you are looking for a few non-beach-related activities, choose something from this list:

  • Visit the Kula Country Farms Pumpkin Patch. The farm also has a children’s costume contest each year, closer to Halloween. It’s all about the bee’s🐝 this year! #pumpkinpatch2109🐝 Pumpkin Patch opens October 1st.
  • Hike the Makawao Forest Reserve and see how many different colored leaves your children can find on the trail.
  • Check the Maui Arts and Cultural Center calendar for fall outdoor movies.
  • Participate in the Annual Maui Marathon. This year’s marathon will be held on October 13, 2019.
  • Attend the Maui Ukulele Festival. Check www.mauiarts.org for more information. 4th Annual Maui Ukulele Festival, Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00 – 6:00pm at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center – Kahului, Maui.There will also be a Free Ukulele Workshop at the MACC on Saturday, September 29 from 10 – 11:15am.
  • Halloween in Lahaina offers a Halloween costume parade and kid-friendly events during the day.
  • Go to the Maui Fair and enjoy carnival rides, food, various exhibits and live entertainment. October 3-6. https://www.mauifair.com/
  • Attend the Made in Maui County Festival. Support local artists and find unique gifts for the upcoming holidays. Friday November 1st and Saturday November 2nd. http://madeinmauicountyfestival.com/
  • Beginning in November, whale watching cruises are a fun way to see the whales in action with your children.
  • Go to the Friday Night Town Parties as a family. Enjoy local foods, live entertainment and various vendors. Locations vary.
  • The Maui Ocean Center will be offering Wai.Kai Week October 20th-26th. Join the Maui Ocean Center for a week of inspiring events highlighting Hawaiian Culture and environmental stewardship.
