Baseball Camp
Use this off-season to take your game to the next level. This summer, Hitter’s Paradise indoor training facility will host three sessions of 3-day baseball camps focused on players aged 7 to 12. The camps will be overseen by skilled and knowledgeable coaches and will cover all areas of the game: hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, understanding the game, and age-appropriate physical conditioning. 🎨ART CAMP KAHULUI: Young Artmakers 2024

Maui Arts & Cultural Center brings back its popular Young Artmakers visual arts education program, taking place this summer at Schaefer International Gallery. Sessions begin June 17. Led by teaching artists and gallery staff, the program will provide young artists an opportunity to meet and make new friends while enhancing and exercising their creative skills. Class offerings include hands-on workshops for elementary, middle, and high school students in a unique range of media. Each session will meet for four consecutive classes over the course of a week. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience the gallery's photography exhibition FOCUS in a guided tour as part of their class.

🎨Session Offerings:

Envisioning Self through Photography
Visiting artist Miki Nitadori, who is featured in the gallery’s concurrent FOCUS exhibition, will lead students in explorations of digital photography as a means of creating narrative and expressing identity.

Wondrous Ecosystems
This offering merges lessons in 2-D and 3-D rendering led by gallery teaching staff with presentations from conservation experts.

Print It – Wear It!
Printmaker Tia Brady of Hex Press Maui will introduce printmaking techniques that students can use to develop patterns and imagery on paper.

Lei-making & Botanic Fun
Lauren Liana Shearer of Hawaii Flora & Fauna will introduce the basics of lei-making in a variety of forms and materials.

Print Meets Textile
Printmaker Tia Brady of Hex Press Maui will highlight a variety of approaches to printmaking on fabric.

🎨Kaluanui Teens & Tweens Art Academy (Ages 11+)
The Hui’s Art Academy gives teens an opportunity to develop creativity and fundamental art skills by exploring the wide variety of art media offered at the Hui. Each day, young artists will experience two workshops taught by the Hui’s inspired teaching artists. Weekly sessions include an assortment of classes which may include painting, drawing, metalsmithing, jewelry fabrication, silkscreen, photography, printmaking, ceramics, and more! This fun-filled academy will inspire teens with hands-on projects to build fine art skills and develop innovative thinking.

📌ACADEMIC CAMP: Pacific Whale Foundation

Pacific Whale Foundation’s Ocean Camp offers fun, adventure, and learning for children entering or currently enrolled in grades 2-5. Campers learn about the ocean and Maui’s natural environment while developing skills and making new friends. Each week features a unique ocean-related theme with daily hands-on science lessons, team-building games and expressive crafts, as well as nature-based field trips, including private snorkel trips on PacWhale Eco-Adventures’ vessels.
