Choosing the right school can be a daunting task. Here are some ways to find the right one for you and your child.

After you’ve checked out our virtual school fair and chosen the schools you are interested in, do the following to make sure they are a match!
Go to Open Houses. Many schools are hosting open houses during the spring. These can be a great introduction to any school and many times allows you to chat with families that are already attending. Go to these to get a real feel for the culture of the school. Open House Guide 2020.
Follow it up with a personal tour. Personal tours are done by appointment and can offer you a real hands on experience to finding the right school. Bring your child with you so that they can check it all out. You should be able to check out the classroom your little one would be in and even speak with some teachers or do any testing that your little one might have to take for admissions.
Talk to friends. Word of mouth and first hand experiences from friends can be one of the best resources a parent has. Perhaps your little one and a friend share the same type of personality or learning disability. Getting the 411 from another parent and learning about the ins and outs of a school can be worth its weight in gold!
Remember though, each child is different, so don’t assume that because your neighbor goes to one school that it’s the right one for your child. Take the time to research, visit and then decide on which school works for your family.
