Maui Mall Family Sundays Finale

Wailuku resident brings home $1,000 Super Shopper Prize Package

Kahului, Maui, HI (January 28, 2014) – Maui Mall this past Sunday awarded Lihikai Elementary School fifth-grader Kimberly-Jade Andaya-Labatte a MacBook Air notebook at its Family Sundays Finale event. Mayor Alan Arakawa and his wife Ann presented the laptop to her.5 - Cartoon Characters

Andaya-Labatte’s teacher Jonathan Vince-Cruz nominated her for the award, saying, “Kimberly is meticulous when it comes to her school and home work.  She is very diligent and precise when she copies down notes and written responses.  She is a team player that knows the value of working together towards a common goal.  Her positive attitude and great work ethic is demonstrated every day in and out of the classroom setting.”

Andaya-Labatte is student government treasurer and is one of few students selected to be in Lihikai’s performing arts group. She is also a junior police officer and a flag bearer.
3 - KendamaOther highlights of the Family Sundays finale included Genki Sushi’s Kendama Contest, 99.9 KISS FM Money Machine, performance and picture taking with the Maui Cartoon Characters and Maui United Way keiki crafts table.
To close the Family Sundays finale event, Wailuku resident Larissa Ka`aihue took home the $1,000 Super Shopper grand prize pack as part of Maui Mall’s Super Shopper Stamp Card Promotion. The grand prize pack included a staycation and dining at Ka`anapali Beach Hotel, courtesy of 99.9 KISS FM, merchandise from The Foam Company and gift cards from Maui Mall merchants.
