Roots Reborn will be hosting a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. Death, far from being a finality, is recognized as an integral part of life’s eternal cycle, and during this celebration, the realms of the living and the departed converge. Enjoy delicious food, lively music, and entertaining activities for the kids. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chair, blankets, and your most creative calavera/catrina outfits and makeup for a family-friendly event. Bring a picture/s of your dearly departed and ofrenda to add to the altar. There will be a brief all souls procession, so remember to bring your flameless candles.

22nd Annual Native Hawaiian Convention

Normally held on Oʻahu, the CNHA Native Hawaiian Convention has been moved to Maui to uplift the voices of the people of Maui. The convention will include discussions around culture, economic development, education, housing, health, tourism, and community development, with a special focus on Maui. There will be a large job fair, marketplace with Maui-made products, and food from local food trucks.
