Join the Summer Reading Program

From now through July 31st, Hawaii’s public libraries will celebrate “Tails and Tales” this summer with virtual and in-person activities, author talks, and more. Get ready to explore some amazing ocean creatures, land animals, birds, and beasts, all while enjoying terrific tales along the way.

The free Summer Reading Program is for everyone. Participants will simply log reading minutes and track accomplishments using Beanstack. For every 100 minutes logged online, you will receive a virtual badge and an entry to the lucky grand prize drawing for Four Round Trip Tickets, courtesy of Alaska Airlines® and the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. When you reach reading milestones of 300, 600, and 1,000 minutes, you will receive free incentives, while supplies last. Visit a local library to claim your reading reward.
