Visit the Maui Farm

On Saturday, January 8th, the Maui Farm hosts a free morning of exploration, learning, and fun! Explore crop fields, plant nursery, composting zone, and meet and feed friendly farm animals including pigs, goats, rabbits, and chickens. Reservations are required. All ages. 9-11am. Starting Tuesday, January 11 through March 10, the Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents the 2022 Schaefer Portrait Challenge. This year’s statewide triennial juried exhibition features works by 47 artists from five islands. Jurors this year are Carl Jennings, Codie King, and Jan Sato who have made outstanding selections that reveal the vitality and spirit of Hawai’i through portraiture. Turn Trash into Fashion

Mālama Maui Nui is excited to announce that submissions are now being accepted for The Art of Trash Exhibition and Trashion Show slated to open in April 2022. If you haven’t already done so, start creating now! Submissions close February 1, 2022.

The Art of Trash Exhibition and Trashion Show are annual, juried events that inspire community members to reimagine our resources, such as previously used materials, as elements for creative inspiration. All pieces are original work made from recycled and/or reused material.
