Maui Chinese New Year

Saturday, Feb 1st from 9 am – 3 pm
Kung Hei Fat Choy! This community and family festival features the biggest celebration on the island. Entertainment includes the Lion Dance Blessing by Sifu Arlie Asiu & Maui Chinese Martial Arts & Lion Dance, now with 2 shows at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Entertainment by Taiji on Maui, Ohana Martial Arts, T’ai Chi Ch’uan on Maui, plus a keiki Chinese fashion show. Come in costume and the first 100 keiki will receive free goodie bags. Food and Chinese cooking demo by Chef Dean Louie, a keiki Chinese art contest, Chinese calligraphy, and a Chinese altar table. HeartFest Maui

Saturday, Feb 1st from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
This free, family-friendly event is dedicated to promoting heart health through fitness and the values of Scouting. Hosted by and benefiting Scouting Unit 49 and the Maui Family YMCA, this event will feature health screenings, fitness demonstrations, games and prizes, raffle prizes, live entertainment, local vendors and food trucks, and a triathlon for all to come and challenge or cheer on the Scouts. Visit Schaefer International Gallery and experience Schaefer Portrait Challenge 2025, featuring works by 40 artists from across Hawaiʻi. In the gallery. Meet some of the exhibiting artists from Maui and watch live demonstrations in portraiture. Outside of the gallery, harness your inspiration and create your own portraits at activity stations: printmaking with Hex Press Maui, sketching tutorials, sculptural figures, and more! Free. Lunar New Year Celebration at The Shops

Thursday, Feb 6th from 2:30 pm – 4 pm
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a lion dance and martial arts performance by the Au’s Shaolin Arts Society at the Lower Valley Performance Area in the Shops at Wailea. Guests will have the opportunity to receive red envelopes, known as “lai see,” and make a voluntary donation to “feed the lions”.  Free. The Shops at Wailea, Wailea.
