Join Alexander Academy Performing Company for their full-length ballet production of The Nutcracker. Momentum Dance Maui production highlights the second act of the ballet, telling the story of young Clara’s magical journey on Christmas Eve. Following a night filled with dancing, surprises, and gifts, Clara falls asleep beside her new Nutcracker doll and dreams of a fantastical world filled with dancing Snowflakes. She is led to the Land of Sweets where she is greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy, enchanted by characters from faraway places like China, Spain, Arabia and Russia, and mesmerized by the Waltz of the Flowers and Dew Drop Fairy. Drive-Thru for a Christmas Celebration

Take a night off from Christmas shopping this Saturday and instead drive to the Kalana O Maui Building in Wailuku. The County of Maui will again present its popular Christmas Drive-Thru for kids of all ages, including Tutukane and Tutuwahine. Enjoy festivities in the County Building’s front parking lot from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18. Mayor & Mrs. Victorino, County Council Chair Alice Lee and councilmembers and Maui County employee-elves will welcome Santa Claus for an island-style Mele Kalikimaka. Enjoy holiday music, Christmas carolers, beautiful decorations, and a free treat bag. This is a drive-thru event. Enter from Waiale Road onto Kaohu Street, follow event signage and traffic controllers into the lower parking lot of the Kalana O Maui Building and exit onto Wells Street. Spend Christmas in Hawai’i with Jake Shimabukuro 

Saturday, December 18 at 7:30pm in the Castle Theater of the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
