Color Festival Hawaii
The Color Festival Hawai‘i is back at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center this Saturday. Inspired by the traditional Indian Holi Festival, attendees use colored powders to apply on fellow attendees with live music from Maui favorites Kanoa, Marty Dread & Gretchen Rhodes and the House Shakers, Mas, Eric Gilliom & Vince Esquire, Dr. Nat and Rio Ritmo, Brown Chicken Brown Cow String Band, and with DJ Boomshot weaving it all together. Food, treats, and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Healthy Kids Day
There will be open access at the Maui YMCA this Saturday to celebrate Healthy Kids Day, a national initiative to keep families active and healthy. The day-long event will feature activities showcasing all of their wonderful programs including Day Camps, Group Fitness Classes, Kids Club, and the Annual Youth Biathlon. All activities are designed to inspire kids to get active while simultaneously teaching families how to develop routines that support mental and physical health at home.

8th Annual Heritage Lei Day
On Monday, May 1st, the Maui Historical Society is hosting the 8th Annual Heritage Lei Day with live music, food, and local vendors. There is also a lei contest, but all applications must be submitted before noon (12 pm) on Monday, May 1st, 2023. You can download the guidelines and application at https://mauimuseum.org/events. Contestants must be present for the announcement at the Lei Day Heritage Festival to win.
