The holidays are in full force on Maui and we rounded up the many places you can find Santa along with festive family events.

Fairmont Kea Lani

Santa’s Arrival at Fairmont Kea Lani
Saturday, December 24, 2022
12 pm – 1 pm

Soak up the sun and see Santa Claus, along with Mrs. Claus and their elves, arrive on Polo Beach via outrigger canoe to spread holiday cheer to South Maui. Santa will be available for photos following his arrival.


Grand Wailea

Holiday Events

December 24: Santa leaves his sleigh at the North Pole and arrives at Wailea Beach in an outrigger canoe at 9am! Be sure to bring the kids along for photo ops with Santa.

December 16: Grand Wailea will host a Holiday Marketplace from 4 – 8 p.m., where visitors can pick out truly unique holiday gifts made in Maui, while savoring small bites and festive cocktails, and humming along to carolers. Be sure to bring the kids to Keiki corner for holiday crafts and a chance to share the holiday spirit at the Wish Tree, where all proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui.

December 18 – 26: Celebrate Hanukkah at Grand Wailea with a nightly candle lighting in the lobby at 6:15 p.m., complete with dreidels, gelt and light bites


Whalers Village

Santa’s Beach Arrival

Please join us on Sunday, December 18th at 8:30 AM, on Ka’anapali Beach in front of Whalers Village as we welcome Santa Clause on his mini vacation in Maui before his long week of work ahead! Santa will arrive at Ka’anapali Beach on Sea Maui’s catamaran and will roam Whalers Village spreading holiday cheer and posing for selfies.

Keiki Holiday Festival

Will Smith Imua Discovery Garden

Imua Family Services invites Maui’s children and families to celebrate the past year and immerse themselves in the holiday spirit. The organization’s second annual Keiki Holiday Festival will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Will Smith Imua Discovery Garden in Wailuku. The outdoor event will feature holiday décor, live entertainment, and many of Maui’s favorite food vendors. Activities for the keiki will include face painting, hot cocoa, Ben’s Big Blue Building Blocks, the Boo Boo Zoo, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Entertainment will also be a highlight of the evening, with live vocalists performing holiday classics and appearances by Halau Makana Aloha O ka Lauaʻe, Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA), and Maui Taiko. Families will also be treated to a parade of holiday-bedecked classic vehicles trekking down the property’s winding driveway, courtesy of Maui Classic Cruisers. Help Imua Family Services spread the joy of the season and celebrate the wonderful Maui community! Advance registration is highly recommended, and is available for a nominal fee of $5.00 per family. Santa Claus, the North Pole’s top dignitary, will join Mayor Michael Victorino and First Lady Joycelyn Victorino for the Christmas Drive-Thru’s return to the County Building’s front parking lot Saturday, Dec. 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mayor Victorino invited Santa visit Maui to get away from his hectic pre-holiday schedule. He will trade in his boots for some rubber slippers this weekend. Participants will enjoy holiday music, beautiful illuminated decorations, and treats for the keiki. Enter from Waiale Road onto Kaohu Street, follow event signage and traffic controllers into the lower parking lot of the Kalana o Maui building and exit onto Wells Street. Lahaina Cannery

Photos with Santa, Festival of Trees, and Live Holiday Entertainment
Lahaina Cannery is pleased to invite Maui residents and visitors to celebrate the holiday season with Photos with Santa, the Festival of Trees, and live holiday entertainment. Lahaina Cannery will be hosting Photos with Santa every Saturday beginning December 10th through 24th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come dressed in your holiday attire or pajamas for fun holiday photos.

Live holiday entertainment will be for shopper’s enjoyment every weekend beginning December 4th through 24th with free performances by local community groups and Maui musicians.

The popular “Festival of Trees” decorating contest is back and is now underway featuring many Maui schools, churches, community groups, and Cannery merchants decorating trees with handmade ornaments. The twinkling array of trees will be on display throughout the Cannery until December 30th. Lahaina Cannery encourages local residents and visitors alike to stroll through the Cannery and admire the holiday cheer.

Photos with Santa

Santa is coming to Maui! Plan for your visit with Jolly Old St. Nicholas beginning Friday, November 25th. Visits are free and photo packages are available for purchase. Let your furry family members be a part of the tradition too! Pet photo nights are every Tuesday from 3pm-close. Santa will be feeding reindeer from 3pm-4pm daily and 3pm-3:30pm on Sundays. Santa hours below are subject to change.

Salvation Army Angel Tree

Bring happiness to a keiki or kūpuna in need this Christmas. Pick an Angel at the Salvation Army Angel Tree and bring the suggested gifts back to the Angel Tree located at center court next to the escalator now through December 10th.

Beginning Saturday, November 26, families and guests can capture holiday memories with free Photos with Santa. Santa’s elf will be handing out complimentary Peppermint Macadamia Nut Cookies from Honolulu Cookie Company as an added treat. Guests won’t want to miss a special evening of giveaways on Thursday, December 22, from 7-8pm, when Santa will be strolling The Shops, giving away bags of gifts and merchant gift cards to random guests.

And on Friday, December 30 from 5:30-7pm, the signature “Ke Kani Hone O Wailea” concert welcomes Maui’s Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning band Kanekoa. Powered by electric ukuleles and exotic rhythms, these ukulele masters ride the wave of Hawaiian roots with jam band energy, creating a unique sound they call Hawaiian jam-rock. 


Maui Mall Village

Jolly Holiday: Santa & Elf Selfies + Holiday Music & Dance

Maui Mall Village is pleased to offer a wide range of holiday activities throughout the month of December at its ongoing Jolly Holiday! The lineup includes a series of live holiday entertainment, including performances by school and community musical groups, a hula halau and a dance school.

Come on down to take selfies with Santa and one of his favorite elves, when you make a donation of any size to the non-profit organization Best Buddies in Hawaii. Parents can use their own cameras to take photos of their keiki in Santa’s festive holiday setting at center court.
