A thank you message to physicians from Maui Health System…

To all doctors, far and wide: Each year on March 30 we celebrate National Doctors Day. In honor of this special day, Maui Health System would like to recognize and thank all of you. We celebrate you and the work you do to keep communities around the world healthy.

To our island doctors: On behalf of the Maui Health System employees, board of directors, and leadership, please accept our deepest thanks and sincerest gratitude. Mahalo for being a vital part of what makes Maui Health System the best place to work, deliver, and receive care. Your devotion to quality, compassionate care has defined who we are as an organization.

The medical community we have in Maui County is truly outstanding and includes the best and brightest physicians in the nation. They are experts at their trade, but beyond that, compassionate and selfless, Like Maui Health System, their mission is to improve the health of the communities the care for by providing the highest quality care and putting patients first, at the center of everything they do. No matter where they’re from, or what they specialize in, the level of care that our doctors provide is unmatched. So much so that American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognizes one of our hospitals, Maui Memorial Medical Center, with one of their highest honors year after year.

Help us also welcome and thank our island’s newest community physicians – Dr. Derrick Beech (Oncological/General Surgery), Dr. Rob Connaughton (Vascular/General Surgery), Dr. Christopher Taleghani (Neurosurgery), Dr. Joel Ulloth (Neurosurgery), and Dr. Stephanie Yan (Trauma/General Surgery). Please join us in extending a warm aloha to our new physicians and their families.

While this special day is marked on our calendar once a year, your commitment, innovation, and sacrifice are worthy of recognition and gratitude, each and every day.

Happy Doctors Day!
