Lokelani Intermediate’s Megan King wins iPad at Maui Mall Family Sundays Event

iPod also awarded to Lihikai School second grader

Kahului, Maui, HI (August 28, 2012) – Maui Mall this past Sunday awarded Megan King, a seventh-grader at Lokelani Intermediate, an iPad as part of its recent Maui Mall Family Sundays event. In addition, Tiffany Morioka from Lihikai Elementary School was awarded an iPod Touch.  Both winners were randomly drawn from a selection of nominated students, all who were recognized on-stage for achievements in academics and community.

King recently participated in the PBS Hawaii’s Hiki No Project and worked through the summer on the story for PBS. She is a very hard worker, often working on various projects on the weekends and on school breaks. She was nominated by her teacher Maysie Tam.

Morioka was nominated by her teacher Dayni Shimomura who noted that “she has excellent work habits, is very focused and is a great tutor and role model to her classmates.”

Teachers are encouraged to promote hard work and dedication by nominating their students for this monthly iPad and iPod drawing, through November. The next Family Sundays and iPad and iPod giveaway event on September 30 will highlight Language and Culture. The deadline to submit nomination forms for this event is September 17.

Nomination forms and more information can be found on the Family Sundays link at www.MauiMall.com.
