Come join the newest, family friendly event on island! The Kihei Fourth Friday Town Party has something for everyone. Live music on the main stage, ‘ono grinds from some of the island’s best food vendors, over 60 artisan craft booths featuring many handmade items, and the Keiki Youth Zone–a special destination for all keiki ages K-12. The Keiki Youth Zone (KYZ) has keiki friendly craft booths, fun live performances and many interactive activities such as hula hooping, painting, crafts, gigantic bubbles, balloon making, face painting and audience participation on stage. Every Fourth Friday party the KYZ will feature a special hour for all the youth of Maui to shine on stage. Pacific Whale Foundation Moonlight Tidepool Exploration

Brittle stars, urchins, octopi, oh my! Pacific Whale Foundation’s marine educators invite the public to meet some of the fascinating creatures that roam Hawaii’s tidepools at night during our Moonlight Tidepool Explorations at a South Maui tidepool. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight. Refreshments will be provided. $10 per adult and $5 per child. Advance reservations required.

Maui Prep Paniolo Event

It’s that time of year again! Get your cowboy outfit on and mosey on up to Maui Prep’s 7th Annual Paniolo Night on February 23, 2013. This wonderful event has turned into one of the signature family gatherings for the west Maui community. Paniolo Night will run from 4 pm-9 pm.
As in past years, Paniolo Night will feature the ono grinds of Iron Imu BBQ: Smoked Chicken, Southern-style Brisket, Dry Rub Ribs served with other delicious sides and desserts. Guests will be provided with some great entertainment as well including Maui Prep’s 7AM Band and local band Fred’s Garage…and perhaps some other special surprise performances. There will be plenty of activities for everyone: jumping castles, a petting zoo, hay rides, laser tag (new this year) and the regular assortment of kids’ games and booths. Both scripts and activity bracelets will be available.
