Kula Country Farms Annual Pumpkin Patch
Kula Country Farms is hosting its annual Pumpkin Patch Season! You and your children can explore the patch, view many exciting pumpkins and gourds in all shapes and sizes, and even carve your own pumpkin!
Families are invited to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch beginning in October. Special events include a scarecrow contest, pie-eating contest, and the famous walk-through corn maze. The farm will also feature Halloween crafts, farm animals, edible goodies, pumpkin carving supplies, and the farmer’s market, which includes a variety of locally grown produce, plants, and flowers.

Konomi Dance Works To Showcase Different Types of Dance at October 27 Family Sundays Event
Plus student recognition and Super Shopper Stamp Card drawing
Bring your dancing shoes to Maui Mall’s Family Sundays event on October 27 from noon to 2 p.m. The event will open with Konomi Dance Works, who will feature different styles of dance, including hip hop and Korean pop, also known as K-Pop. It will also include the popular student recognition and iPad Mini giveaway via teacher nomination and more than $1,000 in prizes will be given away as part of the Super Shopper Stamp Card drawing.

Maui teachers are encouraged to nominate an outstanding student to be recognized and entered to win an iPad Mini at the November 24 Family Sundays event. This will be the last chance to nominate a student this year. Student winners chosen between the months of March and November will have a chance to win a MacBook Air notebook on January 26, 2014 during the Maui Mall Family Sundays finale event.
Last month, Maui Mall awarded Kalama Intermediate seventh-grader Lilia Romkee an iPad Mini. She was nominated by her Hawaiian Language Immersion teacher Kiyani Yasak who said she has been “very patient and supportive of her self, classmates and teachers.”
“This year, she made the Hawaiian Language Immersion volleyball team,” Yasak said. “She and her teammates won their first game. I can tell that she loves the sport and playing with her peers with the support of her family and friends.”
